This zoo has been the best experience I've had in a zoo. We got to see all the animals close. The petting zoo was wonderful we got to feed the deer, the goats, the llamas, the horse, and feeding the giraffe was a wonderful experience. The train ride is like a safari and is very fun. The playground is big and very fun for the kids. The live animal show was great too, we got to pet the animals there. The restrooms were surprisingly clean. The zoo its kinda rustic but the experience it offers is like no other. And the prices are affordable.

Awesome Zoo!!! You'll get a better look at the animals you want to see here than anywhere else I've been.

This is the worst zoo in Louisiana. It's fine for kids and adults that don't understand that animals need large fairly private enclosures, but bad for the animals. It's a bit on the expensive side. There's a $1.10 charge to see the cockatoos which is kind of weird. A big advertisement is feeding the giraffes, but they are pretty well satiated, so they don't bother coming by to eat the food that costs 50¢. The best zoo is in New Orleans, then Alexandria, then Baton Rouge, and finally Lafayette.

It was really enjoyable. My family and i went at night to see the christmas lights and we even got to see a few animals. There was a petting zoo and even some animals not commonly seen in zoos. I imagine during the day time the zoo would be even better.

Had a great time.... Only problem is me n my husband work so when we got off at noon an checked the kids out of school an went the train had shut down for the day, the butterfly room was closed, half the animals were already locked up the white tiger looked sick, the concession was closed.... I mean i think the whole thing should stay open until 6 so it's convenient for people who can't just take off of work an be there by 2:30....
